By visiting our website, purchasing our products, or participating in our pottery events, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service ("Terms"), including any additional terms, conditions, and policies referenced herein.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Section 1 - Online Store Terms
By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your province of residence, or that you are the age of majority and have given us consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.
You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any content on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us.
The headings used in this agreement are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms.
Section 3 - Products and Services
3.1 Pottery Kits
Our pottery kits include real ceramics clay, tools, glazes, and instructions for creating pottery at home. Kits may offer both firing and air-dry options.
Important: Our pottery kits are designed for home use and may involve materials that can cause damage to surfaces including tables, countertops, flooring, and clothing if not used with appropriate protection.
By purchasing and using our kits, you accept full responsibility for protecting your work area and agree that Beleza Ceramics Ltd. is not liable for any property damage, staining, or other harm resulting from kit use.
We strongly recommend using protective coverings on all surfaces and following all included safety and care instructions.
3.2 Finished Ceramic Products
We sell handmade ceramic pieces including mugs, dishes, and other pottery items. Each piece is unique, and variations in colour, texture, size, and finish are inherent characteristics of handmade ceramics and are not considered defects.
3.3 Pottery Events
We host pottery events that may include guided instruction, refreshments, and social experiences. Events may be held at our studio or other venues.
3.4 Product Variations
All products are crafted individually and may vary from images displayed on our website. These variations are not defects but testament to the uniqueness of each handmade piece. We have made every effort to display colours and images as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display will be accurate.
Section 4 - Pricing and Payment
All transactions are processed in Canadian dollars (CAD). Prices displayed in other currencies via our website’s currency selector or automatic location-based conversion may vary based on current exchange rates.
All purchases are subject to applicable HST/GST or your local provincial sales tax rate, unless the order is shipped outside of Canada.
Payment must be made in full using the methods provided at checkout. Orders are confirmed upon receipt of full payment.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue any product or service without notice and shall not be liable for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance.
Section 5 - Event Policies
5.1 Booking and Payment
- Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your spot
- Event bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment
- Classes and workshops have limited spots available
5.2 Cancellations and Rescheduling
- No Refunds: We do not offer refunds for event bookings
- Rescheduling: Requests must be made at least 72 hours (3 days) before the scheduled start time
- Within 72 hours: Rescheduling is not permitted, but you may transfer your registration to another individual
- No-shows: Failure to attend without prior notice results in forfeiture of all fees paid
- Our Cancellations: We reserve the right to cancel events due to minimum attendance requirements or unforeseen circumstances. We will provide 24 hours notice when possible and offer rescheduling or credit.
5.3 Studio Rules and Conduct
- Follow all instructions and guidance from instructors and staff at all times
- Respect studio space, equipment, materials, and fellow participants
- Wear appropriate clothing
- Tie back long hair and remove loose jewelry
- Any intentional damage or misuse will result in liability for repair or replacement costs
- Maintain a respectful and inclusive atmosphere
- Discriminatory, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal without refund
5.4 Property Damage at Events
- We are not responsible for damage to your personal belongings, clothing, accessories, or electronic devices during events
- Participants are responsible for protecting their own possessions
- For off-site events (e.g., at client homes or hired venues), the host is responsible for protecting their property from potential damage caused by participants or materials
- We recommend removing valuable items and wearing clothing you don't mind getting dirty
5.5 Children and Supervision
- Children under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times during events
- We are not liable for injury to minors who are not under direct supervision by their parent/guardian
- Parents/guardians are fully responsible for their children's conduct and any damage caused by them
5.6 Alcohol at Events (If Applicable)
- If alcohol is served or permitted at an event, all participants must comply with local liquor laws and regulations
- We are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or incident resulting from alcohol consumption
- Participants consuming alcohol do so at their own risk and responsibility
Section 6 - Pottery Results and Firing Disclaimer
Important Notice: Working with clay, glazes, and firing pottery involves inherent variables beyond our control.
We do not guarantee, explicitly or implicitly, the quality, appearance, or durability of any pottery pieces created using our kits, during our events, or through our firing services.
Variations in texture, glaze color, final finish, cracking, warping, or other changes during drying, firing, or glazing are normal aspects of the pottery-making process and are not considered defects.
By using our products or services, you acknowledge these risks and agree not to hold Beleza Ceramics Ltd., its staff, or affiliates responsible for any damage, imperfections, or unsatisfactory results in pottery at any stage of the process.
Shipping and Delivery of Finished Pieces
If we ship your finished pottery to you after firing, we package items carefully using appropriate materials. However, we cannot guarantee against damage during transit and are not liable for breakage, chips, or other damage that occurs during shipping.
Any shipping-related damage claims must be made directly with the shipping carrier. We recommend purchasing shipping insurance for valuable items.
Section 7 - Health, Safety, Liability, and Release
Important: Pottery-making involves inherent risks including but not limited to exposure to clay dust, glazes, tools, kilns, and physical activity.
By purchasing our products or participating in our events, you acknowledge and accept that pottery-making carries risks of injury, property damage, or other harm.
You release and hold harmless Beleza Ceramics Ltd., its owners, employees, instructors, staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any liability, claims, demands, or damages arising from:
- Use of our pottery kits or products
- Participation in events, classes, or workshops
- Property damage from kit use
- Injuries, accidents, or damages during participation
- Results or quality of pottery pieces
Health Requirements: It is your responsibility to ensure you are in suitable health to participate. If you have medical conditions, allergies, physical limitations, or concerns, please inform us prior to participation.
Allergies and Sensitivities: Participants are responsible for ensuring they do not have allergies or sensitivities to clay, glazes, tools, or any other materials used in our products or events. We are not liable for allergic reactions, skin irritation, or health issues arising from participation in our events or use of our products.
Safety Instructions: You agree to follow all safety instructions provided and acknowledge that failure to do so may result in injury or property damage for which we are not responsible.

We are not responsible if information on our site is not accurate, complete, or current. Material is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for making decisions.

We may use third-party service providers for payment processing, booking systems, email marketing, and other services. We may provide access to third-party tools "as is" without warranties, representations, or conditions of any kind.
Any use of third-party tools is entirely at your own risk and discretion. We are not responsible for third-party content, services, or policies.

11.1 Event Photography
Events may be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes. By attending, you grant us permission to use your likeness in promotional materials unless you notify us in writing beforehand.
11.2 Customer Submissions
If you send us submissions, comments, ideas, or suggestions, you agree that we may use them freely without obligation to maintain confidentiality, pay compensation, or respond.

All designs, logos, content, and materials on our website are the intellectual property of Beleza Ceramics Ltd. Unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.

You are prohibited from using our site or services:

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: In no case shall Beleza Ceramics Ltd., our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, suppliers, or service providers be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or similar damages, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise.
Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such jurisdictions our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Beleza Ceramics Ltd. and our officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, and suppliers from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or rights of a third party.

We are not responsible for any delay, cancellation, or failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Extreme weather conditions or natural disasters
- Power outages or utility failures
- Strikes, labor disputes, or transportation delays
- Pandemics, government restrictions, or public health emergencies
- Equipment failures or supply chain disruptions
- Acts of terrorism or civil unrest
In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers and reschedule or provide alternative arrangements when possible.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nova Scotia and Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nova Scotia.

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed severed from these Terms without affecting the validity of remaining provisions.
