Real Clay
VS. Air Dry

Our kits include real ceramics clay used in professional studios. Once fired, it becomes waterproof, durable, and food-safe with a glass like finish. Truly a piece of functional art that will last.

Air dry clay, on the other hand, is fragile and can disintegrate with water or time. Air dry clay IS NOT fired, but instead a clear coat varnish is often applied that leaves a matte tacky feel when compared to ceramics.

Prefer not to fire? We also include a no-fire dishwasher safe gloss finish in each kit.
